The döner was exceptional, we sat in the backyard which was much quieter. Service was quite slow, wouldn’t recommend going at busy times.

We’ve eaten here many times. This is definitely the best doner in America. The service is excellent, and the staff are friendly and polite. My mother has celiac disease; we asked if they could use the bread we brought along for the İskender, and they were happy to accommodate us. The döner and İskender are delicious, and the rice pudding is fantastic, too. The salads and mezes are also good. I wouldn't say the hot mezes are quite on the same level, but overall, it’s a great place.
Teşekkürler döner point herşey çok güzeldi
Never disappoints. We keep coming back for the doner, chicken and lentil soup. Great taste, great service!
Ordered Iskender kebap online so I can only comment on food and it is authentic as it can get in US. As a native of Turkey, this place is a strong recommendation for great doner/gyro. They dont sell the industrial slop gyro that is served by most Turkish/Arab/Greek restaurants in US. A bit expensive but definitely worth for what you are getting. UPDATE: I originally ordered Iskender Kebap from Doner Point in Paterson for delivery to my home. Since then, I’ve taken my family and friends there multiple times, become a regular, and developed much stronger opinions about the place. Their mastery of doner is no fluke. The quality has been consistently excellent every time I’ve gone. Whether you get it in a lavash wrap, a gobit sandwich, or over rice, it is always flavorful and satisfying. The plate portions are enormous and can realistically feed two people, even by American standards. I once ate the whole thing myself and had some digestive discomfort that lasted until the next morning, so portion accordingly. They have also Americanized some of the doner sandwiches by adding cheddar cheese. Personally, I strongly recommend skipping the cheddar and keeping it traditional. Their house-made ayran is excellent, and the desserts are surprisingly good as well. In fact, I think they are better than some of the desserts you can get from the Turkish pastry shops across the street. I especially recommend the sutlac topped with hazelnuts. And one final tip: don’t forget to hydrate and cleanse your palate with the free unlimited black tea. If you’re not Turkish, now you know the secret.
Coming from a native of Turkey, this means a great deal — thank you for the strong recommendation.
